I am an abstract painter currently living in Venice, Italy. My works are almost exclusively in oil, sometimes on paper and sometimes on canvas. I paint generally in a style that resembles abstract expressionism or gestural painting, although I don't believe that art should be categorized in such a way. I believe that those are names given by pseudo intellectuals who can't paint. I also do not believe that art should have a political or philosophical message, but rather should simply be something the viewer sees and takes away his or her own impression or meaning. The purchaser could give these paintings his or her own title based on what he or she sees in the picture.
